Laser tag is a classic birthday party option. Kids love the tactical gameplay, team strategy, and competitive action. Richmond has great laser tag venues like Mission Laser RVA and Launch Richmond.
What many parents don't realize: Nerf battles offer the exact same tactical experience - teams strategizing, taking cover, working together - but at your own location, for all day, at less than half the price.

Why Do Families Switch From Laser Tag to Nerf Battles?
Same Tactical Gameplay
Nerf battles offer the same team-based, tactical action as laser tag. Teams strategize, take cover, and work together to win - just like laser tag, but outdoors.
All-Day vs 2 Games
Laser tag venues give you 2 games of 25 minutes. We give you all day. Kids can play 10 rounds or 2 rounds - your call.
Less Than Half the Price
Mission Laser's Classic package is $270 for 10 kids (2 games). Our Big Battle Kit is $249 for all-day play with 16 players.
Play Anywhere
No driving to a facility. Host at your backyard, a local park, or any venue. Kids play in fresh air and sunshine.
When is laser tag the better choice?
Laser tag venues have their place:
- •Weather-proof: Indoor means no rain concerns
- •Atmospheric: Blacklights, fog machines, themed arenas
- •Electronic scoring: Automatic hit tracking and leaderboards
- •Hands-off: Staff runs everything
If your child specifically wants the "laser tag experience" with electronic scoring and dark arenas, Mission Laser or Launch might be the better fit.
