Rent or Buy?
Buying your own gear for one party means paying for everything in the kit, then storing it:
- 8 to 16 matched blasters, including motorized ones and batteries
- 1,000 to 2,000 darts plus ammo crates and drums
- 4 to 9 inflatable barriers
- Fog machine and fluid, loot props and capture-the-flag gear
Renting gets you the full setup for one day, with no storage and no broken blasters to replace.
Hidden Costs Most Venues Don't Tell You
Per-Person Surcharges
Launch Richmond charges $20-30 per extra guest. K1 Speed charges per racer. These add up fast when your kid invites 15 friends.
Facility Rental Fees
Nerfs Up VA's party pricing doesn't include facility rental - that's separate. Always ask "is that the total price?" before booking.

Many venues require you to use their catering. Pizza that costs $15 at home becomes $40-60 at the venue. Some prohibit outside food entirely.
Overtime Charges
Go over your allotted time? Some venues charge $50-100+ per extra 30 minutes. With Nerf rental, you have all day - no clock to watch.
